Trade Name: SILVACORE A38T
Density: 3.128
Melting Point: 1200° F 650° C
Flow Point: 1330° F 720° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***

The tin content provides good wetting on many difficult to wet metals such as stainless steel and tungsten carbide. This alloy, being free of Pb or Cd is preferred for long heating cycles and is suitable for use in controlled atmosphere brazing without flux. Typical applications are the joining of ferrous, nonferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys with close joint clearances. SILVACORE A38T is used for joining ferrous metals (stainless steel, Tungsten or molybdenum carbide), and nonferrous (copper, copper alloys, nickel, nickel alloys). The largest use of this alloy is for furnace brazing although it is also suitable for other brazing procedures.
Trade Name: SILVACORE A50N
Density: 3.429
Melting Point: 1220° F 660° C
Flow Point: 1305° F 705° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***

SILVACORE A50N Flux Cored is a cadmium free silver brazing alloy that can be used in numerous applications. Addition of nickel to the silver-copper zinc alloy imparts anti-corrosion properties, which retards joint or interface corrosion of the brazed assembly. The nickel element in SILVACORE A50N also improves the bond strength when joining of tungsten carbide cutting tips. SILVACORE A50N is a suitable replacement for the cadmium containing BAg-3 alloy.
Trade Name: SILVACORE A56T
Density: 3.200
Melting Point: 1145° F 620° C
Flow Point: 1205° F 650° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***

SILVALOY A56T has the lowest brazing temperature, best wetting, and best flow of all the cadmium-free alloys. It has a slight plastic range which may be noticed during melting on some applications. Its low zinc content minimizes problems due to longer heating cycles (as in furnace brazing) or due to excessive heating (as by less skilled operators). For this reason, it is often preferred over SILVALOY® 35, SILVALOY® 45, or SILVALOY® 50 for furnace brazing, or any brazing operation where the alloy is molten for an extended period of time.
Trade Name: SILVACORE A45

Trade Name: SILVALOY 1
Density: 4.621
Melting Point: 1190° F 645° C
Flow Point: 1500° F 815° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***
Trade Name: SILVALOY 2M
Density: 4.232
Melting Point: 1190° F 645° C
Flow Point: 1465° F 795° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***

SILVALOY 2M is used for the brazing of copper and copper alloys, brass and bronze. It is primarily used for the joining of copper-to-copper on vibration free joints. It is very effective for joining tight fitting copper pipe and tubing. SILVALOY 2M should not be used on ferrous metals or alloys containing more than 10% nickel due to the formation of brittle intermetallic phosphide compounds.
Trade Name: SILVALOY 2S
Density: 4.243
Melting Point: 1190° F 645° C
Flow Point: 1517° F 825° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***
Trade Name: SILVALOY 45 FC
Density:
Melting Point: 1125° F 605° C
Flow Point: 1145° F 620° C
Application: ***All Compositional numbers are based upon weight percentages***

SILVALOY 45 FC is the lowest melting brazing alloy available composed of silver, copper, zinc and cadmium. It is suitable for use on most metals except aluminum and magnesium. It is used for joining steel, stainless steel, copper, copper alloys, nickel, nickel alloys or combinations of these metals. It has wide acceptance by industrial users, as well as being included in Federal and military specifications on brazing filler metals or alloys. It has a narrow melting range which is not apparent in most brazing operations, making it flow freely through a capillary.
